Ah, the mere thought of vacation brings a smile to your face. You plan for months, and dream for even longer! You find yourself sitting in your office, thinking of the beach, or the mountains, or the lake, or wherever your dream vacation is.

The search for Luxury Vacations began for me when my husband and I were planning our Honeymoon. Needless to say, we wanted to vacation in complete luxury, but we couldn’t afford what we really wanted. Our original dream was to go to the Grand Canyon. We live in eastern North Carolina, so that was quite a distance to travel. As we began to look into the trip, between the cost of somewhere to stay and the cost of getting there, we decided that was beyond our means at the time, and began to look closer to home. Still, we wanted the whole “Honeymoon Suite” experience, NOT just a hotel room somewhere.
We managed to get a trial for a Vacation Membership Club, which got us a week at a Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN for about $600. This was a dream come true for us, and thus began the search for Luxury Vacations For Less. We knew if we got there once, we could do it again. However, we could not afford to continue that Vacation Membership Club, and we started looking for other options.
I looked into so many different vacation membership clubs, and ran into several problems. They were all so much more reasonably priced than time share ownership, but still out of our budget.

You see, we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary, and we want to go back to Pigeon Forge, TN, where we honeymooned. We have updated vacation needs, due to the two children we have added to the picture! It may be selfish, but we want a little privacy on vacation, so we want to have our own room, where we can close the door, and leave the kids in the living room or in their room. These needs cannot be met in a regular hotel room. Then I discovered that there are websites where you can book a luxury vacation for just a few hundred dollars, without being a member of anything! I can stay in a resort for $200 - $1000 for a whole week!
